Here's a saw we put together from some parts we had laying around. I wanted to try something different on it.....



It has a 372XT carb and coil......

How does the XT carb compare to a stock 390 carb bore?

Looks good,,,sounds good. Is it a keeper?

The XT coil limits RPM to 13,500 - 13,600. That's plenty for this size saw......but they also has a odd curve the begins advance at a low rpm. That's the reason we see so many 372XTs with a surge at idle. If they are surging, they are idling faster than spec.

The XT carb has the largest venturi of any carb in the series......

That is your top end, and crankshaft, in a new set of cases......with a new muffler, and some voodoo.

Yup you're right about pneumonia, i was in the hospital for 5 days 2 in ICU last month with it.....that **** is no joke.
