WE WILL PAY YOU TO DO YOUR TREE WORK!

That's right. You read that correctly! Our company is in your area and we need good folks, like you, to let us work on your trees. We will prune, when necessary, remove when necessary, treat for any and all diseases, when necessary, and PAY YOU for the privilege of doing so. This is a totally serious offer. We want your neighbors to see how great we can get your trees looking. Since nobody in your town apparently cares, at all, about their trees, as judged by the fact that no tree crews are to be found working anywhere in the area, we need to show everyone that tree work can actually improve the overall appearance of your house and lot.

Don't wait. CALL US NOW! Our operators are waiting for your call, and you have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain!

CALL: (555) 555-5555. DO IT TODAY!

That's funny. Well, more sad. It has about come down to that though. You know, late yesterday I met with a potential client who told me I was way out of school on the estimate. Said he was getting illegal alien tree service to do the job instead. As I was walking off this imbecile ask why I can't get down right like Pedro does. That really caught me wrong but I managed to keep from cussing the guy out and told him there are a lot of reasons, but let me give you three. One, Pedro doesn't collect or pay any tax of any kind. No sales tax, payroll tax, income tax, inventory tax or any tax. He has no workers comp premiums to pay, no contractors liability to pay and probably no commercial auto to pay. Two, Pedro is happy with third world standards of living while I am not. And three, Pedro seems to be immune from having to conform to accepted industry practices and standards all the rest of us gringos have to. The guy just gave me a dumb stare and walked back into his house.

I have done this too many times, get the job super cheap in hope that the neighbor will want some work done as well sometimes it works but then you lock yourself into that cheap price and its hard to get out of that. The problem here is not Pedro, its the guy who owes so much to the bank he will get the job at any price. I have been out bid by 60 percent on a 2000.00 dollar job. All other bids were in my ballpark no more than 200.00 off. Dude thinks he can survive on volume I hope he is wrong.

I just dialed that number and it redirected me to a 1-900 luv u long time.:spam:

Well we have one of those running around here too. My cousin is messing around with the guy's wife (she started it) and provided me with the inside info that the bank is about to move in and wipe him out. He has been bidding jobs so cheap the last few weeks they wouldn't even pay my labor. There is no way I can touch his bids. I bid against him last week on a job in Tyler, TX where he was less than half my price.

No way. Just no freaking way. He actually said that? I guess I really have had enough.

He can survive off of volume; pedro had 60 million brothers.

It seems that for some people tree work is a luxury, not a necessity. People don't realize til its too late that the neglected tree will become a liability when the tree or large deadwood does damage to car or house . In the mean time people don't have the money to maintain their property. My brother who is a roofer has had very little work other than leak repairs. No one is putting a new roof on their home unless the old one is leaking. No preventive work is taking place in most all trades. The current economy is to blame not the home owners in Texas, or anywhere else for that matter. It sucks but I don't think there is much choice other than to hold on or change professions.
I was laid off my last job, and had to take a week off w/o pay furlough at my current job.

Can that guy come up to Kansas City and clean all the dead out of my Catalpa?

I'll be honest it needs cleaned up and I'm too lazy to do it. I do all my neighbors trees for free, and always seem to neglect mine.

I thought this post was going to be about doing free work in hopes of refferals. Not a bad idea I guess but depends on what you have to get into and all.
I was thinking of knocking on this old guys door who has an old run down place ina rather conspicuous spot. Just was thinking of cleaning up some of the over grown stuff and ask to hang a sign ( a real sign) for the season but I didn't.

Things have a way of taking a left turn sometimes or complete derailment.
Only free jobs I give are for milfs. Then again I live in Ar,not to many free jobs getting done

Oh I can't touch that, no sir. But yeah, I didn't do it.

Everyonce in a while I get a something in the mail that claims they will put vinyl siding on my house for free so they can take a picture so it had me thinking, then I stopped thinking and went to work.

im doing a free job soon. a donation for the little league in my town. they asked if we could donate to make way for a new batting practice area. In return they are placing a sign on this new building and leaving it there for no less than 5yrs, but most likely forever. The advertising exposure is worth more than the couple grand the job is worth

maybe ya'll should think outside the box. Providing charity work to the right people/organizations pays 10 fold. we are booked solid well into the 2nd week of february

Let me get this straight, I have heard you say this stuff before....You are booked every day, 5 days a week for the next straight 8 weeks, in the dead of winter including Christmas and New Years week?

Is this all residential work? Where in New Jersey are you from? This sounds like an exaggeration.

I donate a cord of firewood sometimes to a cause I like.
