You fabricate some kind of mounts in the head of the 101. Some guys weld a block in and then drill and tap it.

A forum member here cuts a blank of aluminum and fits it between the first two fins on the head, and then
drills and taps that.

I saw a guy use brass inserts once. They went through the entire head and were bolted to the other side.

There's several ways to skin this cat.
 
Ok, I can see the aluminum in between the fins. Are we needing two seperate ones to allow for the head bolt or just bury it with the blank? Second aluminum spacer between the head and the av mount? Pic would be sweet.

I don't have pics of it but it wouldn't be hard to figure out. I've never done it myself. I have a timber faller buddy who turned into a machinist and he welds the heads for me. He used to run Macs back in the day so he knows all the tricks.
 
Fair enough. The more I look at it, the more I see what I want to do. May just fill it in, then redrill the headbolt recess. Need a good TIG welder now!
