If your Super 10-10 is an older model (600005, 600008, 600009) the clutch has a key and a RH thread. Most of the time the nut has an arrow with the direction if it is a LH thread. Any saw with a RH starter will have a key and RH threaded nut.

Spent a couple tanks of gas Thursday cutting up a large white oak for mom. It went down last summer in a storm and took 6 tanks of gas just to get the top and branches cut up. I plan to slab the 12 feet of the trunk still there and make some kind of work bench out of it. I used dads 805 with a 28 inch bar and did a lot of noodling and a maul to make the pieces manageable. Dad has been gone for 19 years now so mom enjoyed watching dads 805 making the noodles pile up and the big chunks fall off the trunk . I had a 125 with that has a 36 inch bar with new chain and hoped to cut a few chunks with it bit it would not run. Popped fine if I put gas down the carb so I guess I need to work on the carb a bit. It ran fine 2 summers ago so I hope it just needs a little LTC to get going.

I should have made sure the 125 would go run before I loaded it up but I knew the 805 was running good. If you bring enough saws the wood will get cut!!

I got the muffler all patched up and back on. Then commenced to try start the old girl. I couldnt even get it to pop. Before I put the muffler back on I squirted a little oil in the cylinder to make sure things had some lube. Thinking it may have been a bit too much and maybe its fouling out the plug. I have good strong spark with the plug outside the cylinder but not even a pop with it installed.
The wife called me in for dinner so that's where I left it for tonight. In my mind, the carb was clean enough that it should at least try to run and I know it fired on prime prior to tear down and cleaning/painting.

i got a question i think i know the answer and i say no..but did they ever make any mac 10-10 with a decomp button??

The 10-10S has a decomp. To my knowledge is the only 10-10 made with a decomp. The 10-10S is 57cc and the other 10-10's are 54cc.

ok..well the first mac i got was given to me and the tank numbers say its a 10-10 and the air cover but we all know those parts fit others dont know why i suddenly thought of that had it for years and its always cutts like a demon think i will take the carb off and chek the cylinder size..thanks man rral curious now

i knew the cc difference the question just kinda hit all of a sudden had it for years numbers say 10-10 had that saw first and was really impressed with it came with a 28 inch and was given to me and its always ran and cutt really well one reason why i have alot more macs now do have two 10-10s and they have em to..thanks mr brian second one to say that must be true lol
