I have been cleaning up the 600 Series saws here and there as I can. In addition to the 3420 and 3720 Silver Eagles and Brown Timber Bear already on display, I have these ready to go.
The 655 is unique as it has a die cast AF cover rather than plastic like all the others.
I have a Montgomery Wards version TMY 24086B on the bench now and a couple of 610's to go after that.

My mystery saw turned out to be a 1-71,very similar to the D44 as I understand it.I took a look the other morning when I had more time & found the numbers stamped on the bottom side.Too bad it's seized.

A friend of mine has a 125C. His pops had the dealership back in the day but........ hie dad doesnt remember what the "C" stands for? He is also looking for a some parts. Any help would be great!

C is for a chrome lined cylinder as opposed to iron lined.

North East Tennessee Saturday MAC Report
Not sure if the woodlot is closed for the season or not. Brian, Lee and I showed up today at the same time to find mostly the year rounders working. I came as there were some large pieces to be cut and thought it would be good to get the 125C out for a spin.
First order of business was replacing its fuel line with a new one Brian had given me - Thanks, Brian. With a little instruction from Brian, I had it replaced in 30 seconds. Wish my other saws were this easy to repair. Though it had been sitting for at least six months it fired up after enough pulls to get the fuel flowing, but the end broke off the recoil spring in the process. I wrapped the cord around the handle and went to work making a lot of big chip sawdust.
With his messed up shoulder I didn't expect Brian to be cutting, but sure enough I see him in a log pile cutting left handed with a ten series. I didn't think to take a picture.
Went through two full tanks with the 125C. Thanks to Mac's two piece design, I was able to wrap the cord around the pulley and crank the saw. I did come to appreciate again the auto rewinding recoil. I say again because as a kid most small engines I encountered required manual wrapping of the starter cord. Seems like a little thing, but an auto rewind recoil was a pretty significant advance in my book.
I decided to finish a few remaining cuts with the 800 instead of refueling the 125C again. Enjoyable, but not the same fun as the big boy. Got done and went home to mow just after 10:30.
This mornings' cutting before rolling for the final cuts. Maple, oak and cherry.

Thanks. Folks still need to keep warm though warmer temperatures are coming soon.
Brian and I had a little discussion today about setting a better example for safety. We both strapped on our chaps today. I had gotten pretty lax after I wore out my favorite pair and my first replacement pair didn't hold up well in brush.

Thats good to hear, I feel stupid about posting videos of my chainsaw cutting without my chaps on in half of them , after I teach chainsaw safety class. I think I'll follow your example.
Are you required to have masks to get into the wood lot?
