Is it missing this in the air box between the throttle rod and choke rod? It's a rubber piece that keeps them in place and still allows their required movement.

At a glance I saw it in there but I guess it could be broke. Might not see that at a glance. Thanks!

I've had a couple that popped out. Just disconnect it at the trigger and grab the rod near the the 90 deg turn with a pair of pliers and bend it a bit towards the trigger.
Yes I did that. After that the next time I throttled it up it stuck. Was out of time that day so it’s on the bench waiting. Thanks!

This may be sacrilege, but I have a “what’s it worth?” question for y’all. I have most of a SP60 in a box, I tore it down to the long block, stripped out a muffler bolt hole, and haven’t touched since. By “most of” I mean it has a v-stack setup and a funky muffler cover, but everything else is there. What would it be worth in it’s current state? I’m shifting my focus away from saws for awhile and it’s just one of those projects I don’t think I’ll ever get around to, so I’d prefer that it go to an interested person as opposed to my sticking it on a shelf for years.

I have a PM 310 cutaway, PM 650 cutaway, Titan 70 cutaway and a PM1000 but I'm sure they would never get what the cart engine got. There were a lot of cutaways made of the 600 series and 300 series

Just keep tweaking the rod. You'll find the sweet spot.
Found something interesting! Hope I can load it but if not, it was the 10-24 bolt in the rear middle of the air box. It appears someone put one in that was too short and stripped the 3 threads that were catching.

There's a short movie clip but when it plays there is no picture or audio.

Well I guess the screenshot is all we get! Do I need to load videos differently? The picture came right up.
Bob - Those fasteners are normally 12-24, not 10-24. The hex head on either one is 5/16" so it is easy to confuse. You might be able to use a 12-24 x 1-1/8" fastener there and still be O.K.

Thanks Mark. Wasn’t positive on it being a 10 -guess I should have checked it. I’m not as accurate on the smaller ones. I dug in my Plano tackle box I use for small bolts and found a match just a half inch longer. I dropped a wire down the hole to see what length I could get by with. Thanks again!!

That would be me being tech challenged again! Will try again. It show the head of the loose bolt binding up the linkage

Not sure where to post this , but does anyone know of a place in central Indiana where an old fashioned guy can just walk in to a store and buy a crab kit the old fashioned way??? Round here it’s always the same story...... I can order you one. Well even I can handle buying one off eBay and skip their mark up and do at times. I’d be glad to pay the mark up if it was in stock. Seems they want the best of both worlds Carry zero inventory but charge like you do! Grrrr
