Talked to a nice fella in yesterday he had two Mac Super Pro 125 on CL he said he has a barn full of old Mac's he couldn't count how many:rock: I told him to come to the PNW GTG and bring the farm:rock: He named off saws for 30 minutes he had in the barn:msp_w00t: I'm camping next to this guy:rock:

I've gotta camp on the other side of that guy....:D

You can JB Weld just about anything. Just get the surfaces really clean, and be careful. Best of luck in bringing her back to life.

Repairing a part like that is very satisfying, if it works...very frustrating if it contiues to leak or otherwise fails. Unless you have access to the equipment to bead or sand blast it before applying the JB you might be better off looking for another.

cheapchainsawparts and other e-bay seller are likely to have one, should be the same part as used on a 300, 380, 450, 550, and the Super 250 and Super 550.

I have a 1-46 that is not stuck but low compression. If anyone wants it pay for shipping and it's yours. I hate to see one go in the trash if anyone can use parts or pieces.

Let me know....

Would the tank and other parts work on a 790? If so, please hit me with a pm of the shipping cost to 49544.

Nevermind, looked on Acre's site and it won't work.

If the shipping somehow is less than thought it would be, I'll see about pulling some strings and getting the money. :)

Randy - that carburetor could have been used on a McCulloch, but it is not the fully adjustable one you would like to have for an SP125 or similar saw. That one is set for for the impulse to be delivered through the flange, the SP105/125 have an external impulse fitting.

My first reaction is from a 600 Series saw (like the 605/610/650) but the choke fitting does not look right.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Walbro HDC's were used on the 34-41cc Homelite E-Z and Super E-Z saws (along with several other saws around that size). It's a smaller carb than the SDC's used on some medium and large size McCullochs.

Thanks Brian!

I have found you need to be real careful bead blasting the stuffer. I blew holes in the last on I tried to bead blast. Since then I use a wire wheel on my bench grinder with decent results.

Would a soda blaster work as good or better without blowing through?

I want a Super 250.

Got my first look at one the other day, in really nice running shape, but the guy wouldn't let it go then.

He told me that it has my name written all over it, but not until he's ready to let it go.

He sent me packing with the 650, though, which was a consolation.

He had them both wrapped up in plastic and I almost crapped when I saw them sitting there.

If you bead blasted and blew holes through, You should
be happy. Otherwise it would haunt you later with a vacuum
leak. I recommend bead blasting, then you can see the damage
and repair as necessary. Repairing over existing corrosion is not good.
It will come back.

East Tennessee Report

I spend several hours in the basement last night with my family, cats and dogs waiting out the multiple tornado warnings. We fared well. Can't say that for all - so far 7 confirmed deaths and others still missing. Law enforcement agencies are doing their best to find folks while trying to keep spectators and thieves out of the area which covers several miles at the base of the mountains.

I am taking the day off tomorrow in answer to a call for big saws. The Sheriff is allowing 7 or 8 of us firewood cutters from the community firewood ministry in to clear roads and help homeowners. Now I know why I ended up with that 125 I didn't want. I put the long bar off the kart saw on it and tested it. It pulls strong. The Toyota is loaded with two 125s (36" and 48"+),two 82cc (both 28"), an orphan 036 Pro (25"), ropes, chains, cant hooks, wedges, PPE, etc. It should be a long but rewarding day tomorrow. I doubt I'll have any pictures as I can't handle a saw and a camera. Those of you who pray, pray for safety as well as peace and comfort for those who have lost family and homes.

Thanks, Ron

PS One of our members, Ripcord, lives in the affected area. He is okay and says he is using his 084 on some big stuff.

Thank God you're okay. I was worried.

Well, there is a reason for you to have all of those big saws... :) Apparently, this is it. They say this storm season is as big or bigger a tornado producer than most previous season records.

Alabama got hit really hard, that one town literally got plowed by what is estimated to be an at least F-5 category twister. The death toll seems to keep climbing. :(

Now, just curious on something... no one has any parts to 'gift'* me for the 790? :msp_confused:

*hit me with a pm of your price(s)...
