It is very humbling to hear from you guys and it does help. Thanks, Ron
Sorry to hear of your loss, Ron.
Good to have friends around, online or otherwise, at times like this.

Ron, just curious, did you get your carb issue sorted out?
No. I think the consensus was it needs rings too. I thought I would do it all at once. It has now joined my project list all of which are waiting on parts including the kart saw and the SP70. I'll be in Florida all next week seeing to my mother's affairs. Maybe UPS will bring me something while I am away. Ron

Bring some rain with you please!!
One of the last things she said to me was that ya'll needed some rain. Here we just finished (I hope) a multi-year drought. It was good for me in that it led to a lot of big oaks to cut which led to a larger MAC when let to more MACS, then to an even bigger MAC, then to more big MACs and lots of good conversation on this site. My poor little 036Pro feels abandoned by it all though. Ron
Ron,
My condolences on the loss of your Mom. As you note, even knowing they are in a better place doesn't take away all the sting. My thoughts are with you and I pray for hope and strength during your time of grieving. It sounds like you have many good memories to draw from in remembering her.

It is dry, seems normally the afternoon rains would have already started. But its just been hot and humid. Even though your trip down here is not for pleasure, hopefully you can have some fun while your down here.
This just came in a few days ago. It has good spark and compression.
The fuel tank is clean in side. The oil tank was dry and clean.
It took about 20 pumps with the manual lever to get the
oil to start to flow, It works good now. I have not tried
to start it yet. I think it will need a carb kit, it has a tillotson HL
carb on it.
McCulloch 1-62 gear drive Bow saw.
My 1-60 has a very similar chain guard but it doesn't have the handle just the hole for it. Do you make any use of this handle? Seems to be a long reach.
I should be bringing to its new home my second and last bow saw (unless I find my Dad's) - my grandfather's little blue Homie. I don't know the model but it saw a lot more use than his MAC 1-60 probably due to weight. I'll post a shot of it if I have room to bring it back with me. Ron
Since the search feature is not fun-ctioning I am seeking some info on a couple of McCulloch saws.
I have a 10-10A that I know nothing about.......except that the compression seems low when using the pull starter and that the air filter definitely needs replaced. Is there a preferred place to access parts for vintage McCulloch saws?? What is the reputation/past history usage of the 10-10??
Also looking at picking up an original owner McCulloch 3-10 saw that seems to be in great shape. Just wondering what the story is on these saws.......home usage I'm presuming.......what kind of longevity and ??? I've already accessed this info;
Model Profile: 3-10
Anything info/parts sources/historic reputation that can be provided would be appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

McCulloch 1-62 gear drive Bow saw.
That's a real nice specimen Mr Bow saw.
I got its little sister this week, being it a 1-61 gear drive without a bar and bar clamping plate.
Paint is real bad, but it has good compression and runs already.
Notice also that it's a left hand starter, which seemed to the standard for all geardrives sold in europe.
