Yes, both.
And on the bullfrogs, too.
And two of the roller-tips... with pintail... semi-chisel...much smoother in the nut logs...
Only need a helper handle on one of the cherry/papaya shakes...
No, wait! gramma says she want one, too...
So make that two HH's... one on a cherry/papaya and one on the plain vanilla...

thanks HOSS I looked at the site and it says "McCulloch MAC-9 Flatback carb kit!" and the carb they used had MAC-9 stamped on it, and the person selling them does not know what it will fit. So I am asking you will this kit fit my carb?

maybe the pic will help you.

A lot of those large Mac flat backs look the same on the outside, but the only way to know for sure which kit you need aside from any numbers on the carb is to take it apart and see what size diaphragm you have. Of course there was a more common size used so you could wing it and get the kit and hope for the best. Try Bob in NY after you measure your diaphragm and he will set you straight for sure. His phone number is probably in this thread 10 or so times. I don't have it handy right now.

skids of old macs

I'm lookin at some skids full of old macs. Off the top of my head, one skid had a 10-10, two 250's (late), and an 850 and several others. Are the 250 or 850 worth anything or decent saws?

About all the older Macs like 10-10, 700, 850 are worth quite a bit. I saw a 700 go for over $150 on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I think it depends on the condition and how well you clean it up.

I wish we had a skid or two of them around here.

All of the McCulloch flat back OEM carburetors found on the large saws use the same kit, best priced kits are the ones from Joe Salva (Sugar Creek Supply), others have them but they will either cost a lot more, need to be modified, or both. The Mac 9 is just one example of the different ones used on chain saws.

Mac 1 / 84050 - Super 250 & Super 550 - choke instead of primer

Mac 6 / 84260 895 Choke & high speed governor

61853 & 68721 - 550

McCulloch 68795 - Mc 49C - same diaphragms as saw carburetors

McCulloch BDC2 used on bigger kart engines (Mc 91, 91A, 101) uses the same fuel pump diaphragm (57274) but a different metering diapragm

McCulloch BDC4 & 14 - same as BDC2

Bob Johnson does has the needles since all of the other "kits" are diaphragms and gaskets only.

I love the sound of the 10-10s'. . . I've cut with one all winter with a square filed chain -- what a neat saw -- and not a slouch in the wood.

I can finally add to this thread!

I posted this in its own thread, but this is where it belongs. Mac 4300. Picked it up yesterday.

starts on the second pull. Im not used to buying a used saw that only needs a cleaning! Ill tell you this, that deomp valve is a great feature cause this saw wants to rip your fingers off.

I've got a promac 10-10 in really good condition that I need to get running. It is seized (but probably pseudo-seized as 90% of the saws I get from this guy just have achy joints from sitting for years.) It never made it to the top of my project list because its so dang heavy for its engine class. Are they decent to cut with? I just figured that if I'm going to lug that weight around, I might as well step up to a bigger saw.
