Here's some pictures of that same 740W1. Shot 'em yesterday afternoon. The 'swirl' in the bar from an ebay seller's 'cleaning' of said bar with a wire wheel or flap disc is more prominent in the photos than it is 'in person'.

This is the NOS muffler that I installed on the 740. Could smell the muffler paint cooking when I ran the saw for the first time after installing it. The previous muffler had some interesting repairs/modifications...
