Yea its broken off the 800. Can someone tell me what mounted where there is no paint? There was nothing when I took it apart so I curious about what is missing.

Now I need tuning advice I have to tune with a tach because I am almost completely deaf. I can't wear my hearing aids while running a saw so it makes tuning very difficult.

Ron will chime in with some numbers but 10500 would be safe. If you can hear it or feel it clean up in the wood it would be fine but how to get the bottom nice im not sure but you must have a method though.

If it like the 800 there's a small strap ground wire.

Buy the way great score! I did a small build thread on my 800 , might be helpful to you . I cant link the file on my phone but you can go to the beg for manuals thread and get the 850 IPL.

The earlier SP models had a spring around the boot connecting the air box to the cylinder to provide the ground. Later PM models had a wire secured under the front snubber that attaches to the tank with the 1/4-20 screw that connects the anti-vibe mount to the fuel tank.



The "5 sided" muffler is correct for the PM850, I expect you can find the parts for it with a bit of searching. I have run most of the 82cc McCulloch saws side by side and the PM850 with the reed muffler is among the best.
