Mercury Chainsaw HELP!!

I have a friend who is trying to find out where to get parts for this chainsaw. This is all the info he can get off of it.

Kiekhaefer Fully Jeweled Air Cooled Engine

Bendix Ignition

Serial 560904

Spark plug J8J

Bar Length 56 inch

There is no parts source for those saws.
Disston went out of the chain saw business in the 1950's.

From time to time they show up on ebay, but buying a second unit to get parts may seem expensive...on the other hand sometimes getting that last bit to complete a perfect restoration can be worth a lot.

I am not quite sure what parts he needs. He wanted me to find a source. I could ask him. I am sure he wanted to know some history of the saw as well. I guess I can search for information on Dissiton.
