How is it you guys come across as being brilliant in the tree advice/homeowner forums, but act like complete idiots in politics? :eek:
I guess politics brings out the worst in all of us... just look what happened to trump. :D
 
The same reason rigguy's stuff sucks.

They can't hold the rated strength of the cable.

However Preformed Line Products has a wedge grip dead end, similar to rigguy's that does.

Which is why PLP has the EHS cable mfrs endorsement, unlike rigguy.

The problem with rigguy's that you have to unwind the natural lay of the cable, separate the strands individually to install it, another big cabling no no.

Conifer's are all softwoods, inappropriate for any kind of lag bolt that comes anywhere close to the cable's rated tension strength.

You shouldn't have to rely on a termination to hold to 90% of breaking strength. If a 1/4" rig guy is not gonna cut the mustard for a stem step it up to a 5/16" or 3/8. The wedge grips seem nice but double the material cost.
