This is going to take place in Manton, Michigan.
We are going to try to make this more like a professional chainsaw race.
We will start by running stock-appearing saws.
The classes will be:
0-3 cu. inch
3-5 cu. inch
5-6 cu. inch
6 cu. inch and over
We will have classes for open saws for all the above.
Woods port saws can run their pipes in the stock-appearing class as long as they do not have a two-piece head. Stock-appearing saws cannot run a pipe.
If we get enough woods port saws, we will have classes for them.
Bring your own fuel whether it's gasoline or alcohol.
Woods port saws run gasoline.
The wood size will be 10 x 10 aspen.
Bike saws will run on 15 inch round.
Let us know what you think of the classes. If we have to make a change, we will.
We are located 10 miles north of Cadillac, Michigan.

Is this a friendly GTG or a contest, Sounds like a contest to me.

This is going to be a friendly GTG, but we're going to run it more like a competition. You can draw for your block. It should be a pretty good show. Andy, let us know what you think. If we have to make changes, we will. Thanks.

Rick, What constitutes stock appearing? I have never been to saw race or read any of rules so I'm abit curious.
BTW I see Woodsjunkie is browsing the thread. think Cliff will let him run his 7900?

So if we are on alky and have a head then we're in open even without a pipe?

Believe it or not that was a question. I need to go to those English as a second language classes.

Will you be running multiple timers?

Yes there will be more than one timer. At a lot of shows the competitors keep time also to keep the timers on the stick.

Rick

One more thing every body is invited to this show,You do not have to call ahead just show up and you will be in.

Hey Rick...How about bumping up the size of the wood to 20" for the bike saws and I'll try to gather up some of the West Coaster's and make a road trip. Even if I can't make it, I'll send a couple of saws for somebody to run.
Any of those bull$hitting Canadian Culls coming? Hahahaha!

I am tempted to make a showing, it would be a new experience for sure, but June is a busy month for us, where are some of these towns, cities your talking about, UP of Michigan, central part of the state, lower southern part of the state ????

Thanks

Larry

Alright Cullhoon, I've just about had it with your insinuations that I'm a cull!:blob2:
I'm not in your camp anymore, I think I'll join the Helsel camp instead.
Are all the Helsels culls like Rick is? I'm sure they are, since the apple doesn't rot to far from the tree!
Hahaha
