Some of you may have read my thread about my old Homey C-91 last weekend, I got the recoil starter working properly and it will run if you pour gas in the carb but dies as soon as it burns up this little bit. I assume the carb will need to be rebuilt and I have a few other questions:

1) Where can I find a kit for the carburetor?
2) What is the correct diameter of the pull rope for this saw?
3) I need a fuel cap and an oil cap - anybody have these items for sale?
4) I will need a bar once I get the old girl running properly, does Oregon or anyone else still offer bars for these saws? Would it be possible to get a bar/sprocket that uses 3/8 chain instead of .404?
Many Thanks, Matt

Homelite C51

I acquired a C51 a bunch of years ago for 20 bucks. It hadn't ran for a few years. We cleaned it up, put new fuel in it, and it fired up. Didn't run to well on the 16/1 fuel no matter how much tuning. Leaned the fuel up some [30\1] and it runs like a champ! I haven't used it a lot, but it hasn't blown up yet. Maybe old saws don't like non leaded gas?
This saw sure works well to get teenagers still sleeping at noon to get up when you block wood outside the bedroom window!
My recoil did the same as yours. Took it apart, blew it out and sprayed with lube. Worked geat.
