I bought this new from a member here. Its has had MAYBE two tanks of fuel through it since I got it. It is not the 260 pro, but does have the fully adjustable carb, and the adjustable oiler. The only thing it needs to be a pro is a decomp...

I will post pictures tomorrow.

Would like to get $400 for it.

Its been brought to my attention the muffler mod voids the warranty. I will get a new cover for this saw for whomever buys it. I also have the manual.

The price was also brought to my attention. $400 is a shipped price. While it was not sold as a 260 PRO, the only thing this one doesnt have that the PRO does is the Decomp. Here a 260 goes for $439, and the Pro goes for $469.

I can include a GB Pro Top bar, used as much as the saw has been used. I believe I also have 1 RS chain and 2 RM chains in .325 63 gauge I can add in for just $50. I may have the RM and RS on hand backwards, but in any case I have 3 chains, that have been used as much as the saw.

I see your selling the saw.......... I SOLD you for $200 and some with shipping with a Stihl bar and chain .........Why are you selling it for MORE then I sold it to you for in the frist place?????....:jawdrop: I try to pass on good deals here with people being that everyone is good to me on here .... Allan, I do appreciate you selling me the saw as cheaply as you did. At the time I really wanted one!!

Ok, lets add this up...I paid you $275 for the saw, something like $25 for shipping. Then I bought the adjustable oiler, cluth bell, and worm gear from another member for $45. That price is shipped, so that will add roughly another $25 to what I have into it, so we are now at....$375. I apologize for the extra $25

I see what you are saying. It is not nor was not my intention to buy this saw from you and turn around and sell it to make a profit. I ran it this weekend for the first time in a while, and want something faster, thats all.

Also, $50 for a $34 bar (bought from a member here) hardly used and 3 hardly used (one I dont think has been sharpened, theo ther 2 have been sharpened once) stihl chains is a deal in itself, I think. I also offered to pick up the stock muffler cover. Not sure what that costs, but Id be willing to bet it would put me over what Im selling it for.

look at the condition of the saw? looks to me like its worth it. heck look at the upgrades he did. adjustable oiler is a good addition and will add to the value. stihl parts cost good money, cant avoid that fact.

Yeah, I think 400 is a little high for a saw that has been mucked with.

If it had been available a couple months ago before I bought mine, I would have gladly paid the $400.00/Delivered price.

"Driving that train, high on cocaine, Casey Jones, better watch your speed.." Gratefull Dead. Casey, $400 for some weenie little used saw? I bought a very nice, little used 371XP for $400 Canadian, c,mon buddy, say you were drunk or something, anything, before I think you are all cheap and greedy.

Casey, I am with Ben! Don't let these guys give you a hard time...the adjustable oiler and adjustable carb are worth at least $50 in my eyes. However, you should definitely include a bar and chain at that price IMHO. The saw looks brand new! I know you want to sell it to fund a 361, but I would just keep the bugger, fit it with a 14 incher (if you want a faster saw) and use it as a Hi-Po limb saw! Then, get your 361 as an intermediate saw, and then your 046, 066 or both for the bigger stuff! Steve's suggestion of eBay is a good one...many of the idiots on there will pay good money, often better than new, for used equipment.

If you guys don't want to pay him $400, PM him an offer (I am sure he would consider them), or go buy a new one, and pay sales tax...unless of course you live in the few states that don't charge sales tax, but creatively sap the money out of you through higher property, luxury, fuel, etc. tax!

$429.00 x 6.5%(as an average sales tax) = $456.88 give or take a few.

Shipping???

I don't think shipping should be added to the cost basis. Shipping cost is wiped out by the convenience factor, if you're a buyer on the web...........you eat the shipping. IMO

The carb has been replaced as well i'd assume the warranty is history.

I bought the saw with the adjustable carb on it, so I can not take any credit for that expense. The Muffler cover was also opened up, so I cant take credit for that either.

The only things I did to the saw were the oiler, and ditched the Stihl E bar and got a GB Pro Top. Picked up two more chains for it as well.

Trimmed is right. That is the downside to buying something that will need shipped in order for you to get your hands on it. Allot of times its cheaper to just go buy one at the store.

DDM, The warranty was history when I bought it.

Tree, if you are serious, then Ill pass. If you are being a d**k, then that is clearly an attempt to bait me into telling you off, and you have broken a rule and you should be dealt with just as anyone else here would be.

I apologize if I offended anyone with the selling of this. I didn't realize it was going to turn into what it has.

Four Paws, NWCS, BigBore, Computeruser, thanks for the support.

Clearance, I will concede I may have been a little greedy on the price. But as with anything one wants to sell, you always start high, right?

daemon, if upgrading the parts on a saw is what you consider "mucking," then the saw has been mucked up. But will run better than a stock 260.

It obvious Its not going to sell here. Ill just put it up on Ebay.

EDIT: Four Paws, as far as keeping it and adding the 361. Its hard enough to justify to my wife why I need 3 saws, there is no way I could convince her I need 4!!!!! Otherwise I would hang onto it.

Try this one

I have 6 running saws for a homeowner now and I just told the wife this is my new sport to ******** at the gtg's and fairs. I just wanted to cover the 4most popular classes 0-50,-60,-80,-100. That 260,(361)someday,460,660 of yours will cover all 4 gtg classes. Then we need to work on the open class and piped classes next. We need to team up and get them reasons ready for the wifes. So I vote keep it (260) mod it run it and get the 361 too.

Tree, Ill pass on the offer then. Thanks for your interest.

Cut, I can go with that. But you race them!!! I know if I got into racing saws Id have to sell everything else I owned just to support it!!!
