Not for nothing but Stihl warrnaties are NON TRANSFERABLE!!! So the warranty was void after the second person bought it....so now sell it for what you have into it with all the mods and be done.

Casey, ask whatever you want for the saw, the non-buyers comments be dammed.
You want to see high prices? go to gunbroker, 100s of auctions listing new rifles for 3X retail, plus add in FFL fees and outrageous shipping and you paid $1K for a $300 gun. Yet they sell like hotcakes.
I hope you list it on ebay with a 28" bar and new chain, for firewood season comming soon, and get $600 for it.

BTW, if you're going to bait and harass a guy (basically being a d**k), then don't come bitc***g when he calls you one. You know who you are.

Sorry, for the choice of words. I made that one up and use it often at home.
My dear neighbors have learned what mucking with something means to me.

Anyway, what I meant to say was that was a little high for a machine that is not brand new.

Casey , to prove to everybody that your not afraid of completely undervaluing you stuff I would sell your 660 to me for say.... $300....

Jeff, that's admirable the way you'd stand up and take a bullet for us like that. :)

That's not correct. Stihl warranty IS fully transferable (any Dealer can do it in seconds on-line). The only part NOT transferable is the life-time warranty on weed eater driveshafts and lifetime warranty on OPE Ignition coils - these two specific warranties are only for the original owner. The normal warranty of 30 days (rentals), 90 days, 1 year, or 2 years) is fully transferable.

Funny 026 pro deal

How about this 026 Pro deal?

A guy in the local paper classifieds last Fall advertises a stihl chainsaw for sale. I call him up, he says its an 026 for $175 an I arrange to meet him at a lawn he was mowing (landscape guy). Looking at it (026 Pro - 18" bar) I noticed a small piece (penny size) missing out of the bottom of the clutch cover and that it had a non-adjustable high speed jet. He's real apologetic and starts telling me he didn't notice the problems and that he bought it from a pawn shop for $125 and would let it go for that just to get his money back. Then I noticed the recess in the housing just under the clutch bottom and thought that it was busted through the case as well since it was covered in sawdust. Now the guy is real apologetic and says he just wants to get rid of it and would take $100.

I wiped away the sawdust and saw it wasn't busted but made that way. He didn't notice as I quickly changed the subject. He practically begged me to give him $100 which I gladly did since he just wanted to unload it.

I laughed all the way home thinking that the guy actually lost $25 on his money making scheme to buy and resell pawn stuff. He probably didn't know they go for $450 new either.

BTW, it has 140 psi compression and really runs well.

He probably stole it and made a cool Ben Franklin off you...either that or he was an idiot. Either way, good buy on your part!
