The first thing I do to a new saw after running a tank of fuel through it is open up the muffler.
Really wakes them up.
I cut mostly Oak and keep a razor sharp chain " Stihl super 26RS " with rakers filed down.025.

^^^^ That and set squish.

Does saw have a carb with both Hi and Lo adjustments?

Pay attention to the chain and set it up to work with the wood you are cutting (rakers)
Yes, i have dialed that in. Saw runs good, just looking to get that extra zip out of it. I have not done anything with the muffler. I will open that up and see if that soes what I'm looking for. Thanks

Other thing to consider is Stihl's narrow kerf 0.050" RS 0.325 bar and chain, does cut quicker, also keep bar length sensible, my MS260 worked hard with an 18 inch bar and your current chain. Narrower chain definitely is better.

In US it is just sold as 23RS now. They dropped the pro labeling and nk here few years ago. Just true 050 drive link chain.
Which in turn makes it narrow over 058 063 stepped down to 050 chain.

Look for this cutter for 23RS. The raker is how you know it is the new 23RS mostly.
