MS 440 Tuning

I am going to add a vented muffler cover (MS 460 part) to my MS 440 to "let it breathe". I will retune the carb using the Idle, Highspeed, and lowspeed adjustment screws after the muffler cover is installed. Do I need to increase the size of the fixed jet also? Are there any other changes that can/should be made to the carb to properly tune it after the cover is installed?

Hi bvaught, and welcome! All you need to do is retune the mix screws. Also, if you have a dremel or die grinder, you can enlarge the existing outlet and save some cash. John
