6 point impact socket?I know one thing, the 1/2" drive socket is a goner! I would think that if they used thread locker on it it would be loosened up by heating but it wasn't. I plan on taking it back to the owner and explaining it to him.

Yes, it kinda tore the edges off the six points. I ground the end of the socket first so it would grab more of the nut but it still tore it up. I still have the 026 that the owner glued the fuel line together. I guess it leaked and ran lean and burned the top end up. All that to save a few bucks on a new fuel line..6 point impact socket?
I don’t see how but anything is possible. You mentioned it had an AM piston. AM clips are usually soft and don’t have much spring to them. And most failures are likely from poor metallurgy or the clips get kinked or twisted from improper installationGot it apart...
The junk bearings could cause a wristpin clip to pop out?

Seals, bearings, and gaskets...
Piston/cyl. kit..And a new clutch assy.
The dealers hate me tho.. LOL
