My MS260 runs like a charm.

When cold all is well but after I use it for about 1/2 hour or so the chain seems to not stop any more at an idle and it seems to idle a little faster than when cold.

Of course it is always when I am away from the truck and I never remember to bring a screwdriver with me. So I turned down the idle a bit more today but is this just the idle being too high or could there be another cause?

Oh and I took it apart and gave it a good cleaning.

I used some of the Lee Vally Sawblade cleaner.

It did an excellent job taking off the pine resin and I was impressed with it taking the baked on oil and crap off of the muffler.

I was really impressed with how it cleaned up the saw in general. Good for another year now.

Mike, there should be a air intake preheat block in front of the air fliter (a piece of plastic that blocks air from the engine) remove it and try it out, I am not sure where you are, but if you are in a cool and humide climate, you could be what they call carb iceing, sounds crazy but give it a try, no guarantees though. let me know if it works:blob2:
