This one was not finished yet. I smooth them out.

Looking good!!! Sounded a bit rich to my ears though....:dunno:

I would agree. It might pull another 250-400 rpm's with a tweak. Notice all of the oil in the cylinder in the pics, and that was after being shut off right after coming out of the wood. That being said, I'm not the kind to wring a saws neck with the H screw so I can gain .1 second in a cut. I would rather the saw be on the rich side of right. It did pull well from a 2-4 break into a clean two-stroke, but i still think that a 1/16 turn CW on the H screw will be ok.

Im with ya on that one. The saw I run the most still sounds fine and dandy at 15.5K, and pulls like a freight train, but I leave her all meek and timid at 14.5K. No sense in the extra wear and tear for that .1 second.

But that is stupid rich imo.

My 250R that runs @ 32:1 just has a little oily film on the movers, thats all she wants actually. . . .

Randy knows what Im talking about I think. . . . . . . . . . . . .

that saw just looks so clean! :dizzy:

have you run a few tanks through it before starting the mods? I dont have any experience with it myself, but some guys say you need to get a dozen tanks through a saw to wear it in.....

There were maybe ten tanks through the saw before the mods. I broke the saw in fairly rich but now it is ready to eat...;)
