Ms880 pick up

The cylinder is almost perfect. A little more sanding

I def think its an MS880. Maybe they put an older head on it. I dont see why all of the parts say ms880. Can anyone decode the serial?

M.D. 0509 on the tank is May 2009 so a few months before the muffler/cylinder/case update which was September.

So it really makes no difference. Tag could say either. There was no difference between the 088 and early ms880.

Thats cool. I ordered a piston, and a full seal kit, carb rebuild kit. Ill have to try to untwist the 36" bar. I was trying it out of the 051 i have and it does not cut straight. Ill deal with that until the parts show up for the rebuild

Lots of heat helps alot
When installing bearings lot lots of heat they will drop in

What grit sandpaper would you use on this type of damage?
