Silly Q here Andy, what part of the nut is deformed? Slight taper on the thread or slight change of pitch near the outside? Ovate? Just curious is all as I was thinking if its in the thread part then you'd have to make sure it went on the right way so as not to change the thread of the stud closest to the body and thereby defeating its purpose? I could see them working loose if that was the case. Dunno, askin'

They look like a nyloc nut... but instead of nylon in the nut, the top is deformed (squished).

I think the 076 used to loosen the fillings in my teeth...

Yep.. need to keep you teeth lightly clenched, and your tongue way back..

I got some 5mm from the local hardware store, smashed the nuts in the vice a bit, put 'em together and smacked 'em with a center punch just for good measure. Been there 2 years and 35 cords now.
