I buy from a dealer in Elkton, MD who has a good small engine shop and carries the Husqvarna line. They are always willing to listen to my dumb questions and give me good feedback. The do alot of commercial work with the pro's, trees and grass. Just nice folks.

I will post again when I find a good dealer in my area. Right now all I can do is order parts and rely on the awesome help you guys give me here to help me make my saws run better after the agonizing wait on parts. There is a new Stihl dealer in my town, time will tell. Bad part is the Stihl dealer I was just getting comfortable with quit selling Stihl right after I bought my 290.

I have two favorites in my area. One is Boiling Springs small engine, and the other is Mcabee turf and tractor....I have bought many saws from both places, but way more from Mcabee's.I bought my first "big" saw from them years ago.The owner doesn't run the place anymore but he was awesome, and the guys that are running it now are nothing short...I've just started doing business at boiling springs about two years ago.The owner and I have become friends.

+2 or 3 for Woods Logging Supply in Sedro Woolley, WA. It's a great store, with friendly and knowledgeable help. They answered many newbie questions from me with patience. No only that, but they had the best Stihl prices in the area.

That's Easy!

J & I Power Equipment in Olympia, WA. I do all my saw business with them. They deal in Stihl and carry their entire product line. They sell a variety of other products as well...tractors, generators, lawn mowers, etc... They've been in the same location for 30 years and their inventory of saws and parts is substantial. They have a good full service department as well.

I've noticed that they try to know you by name, customer service is good, and their knowledgable about what they sell. No problem recommending them.

Schlabach Engine in Applecreek, OH. Amish owned shop. I think Freakingstang deals with them too. Nice guys, very knowledgeable on repairs, lots of parts in stock, always willing to offer good advice on my own repairs when I'm there buying parts. Helps that business goes both ways with them as they buy lots of bearings and seals from me too.

David's Chainsaw and Lawnmower Repair Shop. Great service and free advice, even when the advice might keep me from needing to buy something. They've been real good about ordering manuals and tools that I hear some dealers aren't willing to do. Pricewise, they're kind of a mix; I paid list for my 290 and FS55, but got a great deal on the 660, and usually when I'm buying supplies a few things just don't make it onto the invoice.

Steve Myers Service,Cridersville Ohio .Largest Toro/Wheelhorse dealer in the USA.The largest Stihl dealer in northern Ohio.

Al's garage Lima Ohio,I get a discount there, sort of but the service is slow at times.;)

In the janesville Wi area I would recomend Chainsaw Barneys he is a Stihl dealer. I like him because He keeps a very very large selection of parts on hand so you dont have to be ordering all the time. He also has alot of used parts for alot of brands ,and alot of dealers I have found dont deal in used parts or used saws. He is also very happy to answer questions and talk about saws,he dosent just sell saws but he also likes saws.

Tubbs Hardware in Benton, La. Half the store is Stihl inventory, very responsive people waiting on you, and they always give good advice. I can't rate their repair shop, never had a problem and need to take a saw back in.

Niagara Saw in Niagara Falls Ontario is top notch! And this past weekend I went over the river to Woodcutters Headquarters in Akron NY. Great shop with lots of toys.

Dave Neigers house. It's not very local, it's 350 miles one way but it's always a blast!;)
