i use hemlock in my owb, why waste wood, it all burns at the end of the day, and gives off some kind of heat...i am not a wood Nazi....if it is wood it will burn
I was working alone on this setup. It's really fun with a good buddy, I need to find one that wants to work though, lol.
darn that looks like fun....
wonder if our forestry has a 'dump' area like that....hummmmmmm...
best make some calls............sure do look easier then hauling the logs up the hills and hollers...
Nails, I am curious about that great looking cart. How much weight will she handle and what did you use for an axle setup to get started? Also, what are the overall dememsions?

AOD, I USED to cut in our yard waste area too just to keep the wood from rotting but not this year. There isnt enough wood at our site to keep 2 ants alive. Its cut up as they dump it, was people in line for it last Saturday waiting on tree services to dump some.
My buddy called me this morning and asked if I was up for another day, I said no, I gotta sit this one out, too much stuff to do at home. Oh well, theres always next weekend.
She will handle whatever you can put in it. It is 3'x5' with 16" sides. The axle is a single spring 1500 lb with 12" tires. I used my brother's and liked it so much I built my own like it. Now if the job doesn't require the skidsteer, I go to my trailer/wheeler combo. It is great for yardwork too.
time to play hurry up and wait eh?
Nails,
She looks like a beauty. I have been using a factory John Deere behind my 4-wlr but it could use more ground clearance and yours holds twice as much as the one I have. Thanks for the specs., you got me thinking now.

Yeah, might get some cutting done during the week, but with only an hour of daylight after work now it may be challenging.
