Hello all , I am new to this forum.
I just got my first new real powertuned saw. I am just amazed by the power this littel saw has turns A 20'' bar as good or better as my stock 262 husky. The boys up their in B.C did one heck of a good job on this saw and they have me hooked now. Eric

I think it's Saw by Walkers, you can see the disclaimer beside the starting grip. There appears to be no top end on the tuned 026 pro once broken in.

Yes it is a 026 but it's not a pro. the pro has a non adj. carb.
yes walkers did the work

So what exactly do the Walkers do to a saw besides open up the muffler? I`ve heard that "Walkerizing" is relatively inexpensive, and with the thought in mind that labor is expensive and they run a profit driven shop, how much are they doing to the saw? I`m very curious to know, in fact I should contact them directly but I hate to waste their time if I end up not being interested. Maybe one of you guys can fill me in. I know that just doing the muffler might be the most significant aspects of the job, what else do they do? Do Walkers recommend that you change the fuel/oil ratio such as Ken Dunn has suggested? I know Ken`s saws are probably alot more tweaked than a typical Walkerized saw. Ken has graciously given me all the details of what he does for such phenominal horsepower gains, and I plan to have him do a 372 for me in the near future. I am thinking of picking up a 346Xp or an 026 for an atv saw, and I would like to have it worked over beyond my shadetree capabilities. Russ

Walkers takes the saw completely apart and double checks all bearing tolerances and clearances. they also do some mild changes to the port timing, and while they are in there they clean up anything left over from manufacturing that would impede air or fuel flow. The main difference bewteen Madsens and Walkers is Walkers modify the muffler while Madsens does not.

tony, I can not speek for walkers. the best thing you could do is give John walker a call, he treated me very well . I will be doing more bussness with him in the future I'M HOOKED NOW
