My hard to start but does start STIHL 211

How can you use a saw like this? Where is the saw air filter. This is bad for the cylinder and piston.

If you would have read my post and it soaked in. That saw came into my shop like that.

The owners had it serviced at a stihl dealer. They couldnt fix it and also left the air filter off!

I told them take it back to the idiots for a check over before I would fix it for them.

Я думаю, что лучший способ легко запустить холодный stihl 211 — распылить эфир из баллончика (средство, помогающее запустить двигатель внутреннего сгорания) под защитный кожух, где находится воздушный фильтр, или снять защитный кожух и распылить его в фильтр очистки воздуха. Только не сильно.

I think a better way to easily start a cold stihl 211 is to spray ether from a canister (a tool that helps to start an internal combustion engine) under the guard where the air filter is located or to remove the guard and spray it into the air cleaning filter. Just not much.

Careful with the ether. One litlle spray is enough. BUT most people want to use the whole can. That will cause internal issues.
Are these saws too lean for their own good- you bet. Especially the early ones. A lot of pistons and cylinders the first year.
Richen them up. You will be amazed.

Yeah, and if a saw is flooded ether will just make it more flooded.

Это точно .Но если моя бензопила долго стояла зимой ,я рискую, чтобы быстрей завести .И необязательно эфир , есть нежный способ - дезодорант из балончика.

Согласен . Надо почувствовать ситуацию , чтобы не сделать хуже .У меня stihl 211 , я доволен им.

I have a Makita 6401 that will flood easily.I typically pull about 3 times on choke without the "pop" then 1/2 throttle. I believe its a known issue with these Makita carbs, but for now is a workaround until I feel like working on the needle adjustment.
