My introduction to the world of tree work

I thought I would share where I learned how to cut and drag tree's , pines that is . I built this when I was 21 yrs old . I used my fathers old Poland (probally didnt spell that right) , he had 4 of them he used to cut firewood . That was the saw around here back then 20 years ago...Now Im a STHIL man....lol...seems laike everybody else around here is in love with the Husky's...anyway , I cut these logs and drug them to the building site with a 1968 3/4 ton GMC. The only rope I had was the 5/8" nylon you get from lowes. I skinned the bark off with a straight hoe and rolled them in place with chains and muscle . When I look at it now I cant believe I did it at that age.....but anyway , I love the smell of pine sap......lol

Nice shack John! The reason you did it at that age is that you would only dream of doing it at this age
