I believe this was pretty tasteless.
The climber avatar was legit - the rest is not. Plain and simple.

Once again the taste of athlete's foot enters your mouth. The olsen twins are a month older than me (I think one month 3 days? April 26?), hence making them 18, not 16. Also, at age 16 they where much more attractive (ie less anemic lookin, ack!) IMO.

But to crow about dissing standards is the sound of a man who won't act like one. Murph posted pics of your shaved collars--flush cuts-- before. You may be as fast as the wind, but if that's the work you do then you need a LONG vacation, and maybe a career change.

You bettter had take a look again about the shaved collars. You memorie isn't as good as you think. I believe it was said it was a cut made by big johns co worker pat and he says he believes he has seen me make cuts like that as well. I'm the last guy you would see going around shaveing collars off like I have a plan on sending the log to the mill.
I don't always wear a hard. Who needs to? When the job calls a hard believe its on and chin strap connected. I follow the 5000 lb rule either, 22kn is just fine by me. I follow the rules that keep me alive. If I didn't I wouldn't be here today getting everyone all worked.
So if you don't when to wear YOUR hard hat error on the safe and wear it all day.
As far as the avatars I guess it stirred the hive a little. This site is getting a bit boreing just as the other one is. Sometimes we create our own excitement out of boredom.

One more thing about me not sponsored by ansi. All that really means if you see a picture of me posted here and I am just standing around on a log waiting on something or on the ground throwing a throw ball. Non life threatening moments don't be so quick to judge he doesn't wear a hard hat. I'm not a a bill board for ansi so I don't get paid by the hour to wear it. Get it. A picture doesn't tell the whole story.

Guys, I think that maybe you are overreacting to the ANSI stuff. Big John has a point. A valid point. Some of ANSI's standards are arbitrary-Like the 5000lb breaking strength for the climber's support components. 22kn biners are all over 5000lbs breaking strength in actuality but the 22Kn certification is technically only 4945 lbs. Whether they are judged ANSI compliant has nothing to do with whether they are safe! I don't wear a hard hat to pick-prune junipers-Why would I? I climb 98% of the time with tri-acting 'biners connecting rope to saddle but I do have a seldom used saddle on a truck that seldom goes to climbing jobs. It has screwgates with it. When I climb on it (rarely) Im very conscious of the screwgates and lock them down, check while climbing. and have no fear. BJ's rebellious spirit may be off track with the lewd pics but intelligent choices to break arbitrary "rules" isn't something to berate him about.:angel:
Thank you Stumper finally someone understands. You said it right when you said intelligent choices. I don't know how many times I joke around with Dan asking him to take a picture and its funny how deffensive he gets about the fact that I don't have "propper" PPE on. Well ???? its not like I am working in the picture its just tree in the backround. But he and others are affraid of what someone here will think. Thats what gets me. I am not bragging that I don't work safe. I am just saying if you don't follow the ansi guidelines to a T then in their book and many you out your not safe.
And sure I'm a hack I guess 99% of what I do ends up getting cut off at the bottom. A little renewal prunning if you will so gives a flying fick if I cut a collar off or rip a piece. Not every piece has to have a notch or jumped off. Sometimes a good rip cut safer than the alternitive. Don't judge a man by what he tries to get across here pictures he posts. All too often it is taken out context and you read into it too much. I could post a picture of me in a saddle clipped into a rope next to a tree in a pair of swim trunks a spedo even and youd take it serious and want to call ansi police on me for not haveing a hard hat on.

You see that is what I mean perfectly harmless situation. Does she really need chaps and hardhat with hearing protection? Hell she she really doesn't need that bikini top. Maybe you should just remove her top.

It's not the hard hat that in so important as the the aluminum foil liner you should have inside to prevent ailian arborist control signals getting to your dicision processes in pruning ANSI, you may be acused of doing a great job.
