Today I did 4 pine removals, and used srt to get up into 3 pines to remove dead wood, all while using my new Edge saddle. All I can say is I never once thought of my saddle. It was by far the most comfortable I've ever used. If I had any thing negative to say about it, it would be the lack of snaps and equipment rings. But that falls under setting up your personal choices I guess. The bridge is really thick and my caribiners had a hard time snapping over it sometimes.
I haven't gaffed up that many trees in a long time and the back support was really nice. Didn't use gaffs on the trees I deadwooded (of course) But shot a line up high and SRT using the YO yo method. The bridge is nice and low and made it easy. It looks like it would be easy to hook up a over the shoulder croll set up too. All in all its a great belt. I'll go out on a limb here(pun intended)and say if I had to chose between a sequoia and the Edge, I'ed pick the edge, at a 100.00 cheaper. Hopes this helps any one on the edge(ha ha) to make up their mind. Beastmaster
