My new MS661

[Section VIII]

I plan on getting a 661 too shortly . It won't be used much but it's there for felling and bucking some of the larger hard maple .

I may acquire a 661 to add to my inventory "just in case".

My Stihl 044 I bought in 1999 had oil cap protector broken when the dealer opened up the box , he knocked off $150 so I bought it .

The Stihl dealer called Stihl and they told him to sell it as is..... At a reduced price. I think he sold it for 1100 if I remember correctly. The saw was spotless other than that.

That's only $30 less than my dealer priced me one. I was thinking it would be a bigger discount than that. Next time I'm in I'll ask them if they've had any come out of the box like that.

Our dealer usually gets top dollar. It might have been 1k I don't remember.

No I sold all 3 of them I had. 2 NIB never been fueled and one ugly one.
