Splitter is a Troy built 27 ton with a 5hp Honda. Split all of the wood in the other thread I have here. That is a 460 magnum with the big spike kit and a roller chain catch. The other saw is a ms 170 along with all my other little STIHL goodies and a 660cc log skidder! OH YEAH and daughter Kaylee! she's 2!

You're obviously a man who loves both his toys and his daughter-and not necessarily in that order. Good luck with both and thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks for sharing your pics, that is some wood in that other post, I like the way you stacked it on the pallets to keep it off the ground. Cute kid, and wash that 4 wheeler !!! :)

Where did you get those black plastic looking pallets?

Congrats on the toys! And your little one is a sweetie! Your a lucky man for sure!

Nice equipment and beautiful daughter!

My oldest was that young about two days ago, then I blinked and yesterday she celebrated her sweet 16.

Nice stack of wood as well in your other thread. Kinda makes me wish that the spring melt would end so it would be dry enough to go out and get some more!

I couldn't agree more on the passage of time as measured by watching your children grow up.

When you see your children, as children again, in the faces of your grandchildren as my wife and I now do, well it will send chills up your spine that God gives you the opportunity to relive such wonderful times.

Thanks for the replies! I got the plastic skids where I work they usually don't get rid of them but I seen some at another building and asked why they were there and no one knew and said if you want em take em! SSSoooooo..... yeah I took em! The quad is only dirty because I used it that weekend for a log skidder:D I have another little one coming in July! They are telling me it is a boy... We will see when it makes it's appearance! I sit back and look at her know wondering what happened to the little girl that let me hold her all the time and feed her. If you try to feed her now you will wear the food! She is very mature and independant for a 2 year old!:jawdrop: again thanks for the nice comments.

Nice pictures. Cute little girl. Mine would have grabbed that chain before I could stop her. Then I'd have to deal with Mom. Now days it's grand daughters and grandma. But it's the same deal. So you like Stihl tools?

Every once in a while lubricate the side of the splitter wedge that rides the I-Beam lips with some oil, ( the side with the handle) , there are 2 1/2 inch square metal shims that take the slack out of the wedge, if it does gets sloppy you can take out the bolts that hold the blocks in and rotate the blocks, for a more true stroke.

And of course a gorgeous daughter, I have 2 of my own that almost make me shed a tear ever day...

Cute daughter. My youngest will graduate from college in May.

I have the same splitter. It is a little slow for production work, but much faster than I am. I split some 30" oak rounds with it today. It does a 2-4 second pause when it hits the large rounds and then splits them. The log cradle for horizontal use works well for the small to medium logs. I want the 5" ram Speeco, but this seems to get the job done.

You know it's kinda funny! When I say I am going outside or going somewhere she usually says "ok daddy love you" I go then if I am still around the house such as splitting wood... She tells mom she wants to see what dad is doing. If I actually leave I usually get a phone call and I hear her in the background crying:cry: She's usually hanging on one of my legs! Thanks for the nice comments guys!
