this is to cool. i would love to be able to do projects like this. imagine going to a GTG with a bunch of other saw nuts, let them run it but not telling them what's all been done to the saw. they'd be really wondering why it's so strong . your last post said more pictures later tonight mike. i have been waiting patiently. vid to if you could :) :givebeer:

Thanks for the complements I really enjoyed building this! I threw a set of numbers at it to make it run so its not stupid strong yet. This cylinder is not in the best shape so my comp may be a tick low.

If any of you guys have a good 272 cylinder I'd be interested in it!!

i swear that when you look at mikes build threads it almost leaves a guy thinking that these half clamshell husky's have more potential then a pro saw. mike, can you put a 390 into a 350 for me and somehow modify it to take large mount bars. maybe add some AV springs here and there to stiff'n it up for longer bars. would be much appreciated bud

How does it compare to the 359 shoe horned in the 350? That was your build right?

That was my build, you are correct.
This saw was born at 10:00 am Friday, I pulled the rope and tuned it to where it would idle and stuck it in the truck for the gtg! It is not as peppy and the 350 but I think that once I get some time on it and play with the numbers it will come around.

You crack me up! I'd be thru the case with that stroke and the case volume wouldn't feed it very well!

I wish I could find a quad port cylinder that is 34mm stroke but I'm not done with this one!

I look at these saws and tho they are not the fastest, baddest, saws out there, they ALWAYS make me smile when I run them and I hope to have inspired someone to see that a saw build is only limited by your imagination!

so which is it :p. just machine your own case from scratch or JB weld the bottom all to heck so you can machine into the JB.

Bout the only thing I'd let this go for Is a MINTY Homelite stick shift!
Those are cool, aren't they. I ran Bills at the GTG and it is just cool. They just dont do that kind of stuff anymore. Hey there you go your next build!!! How bout a 4 speed 346 with a 385 top end?
