No matter what she says, the correct response is one of the following:

"Yes dear"
"I was just thinking the same thing."
"Wow, what a great idea."
"I am on it!"

Then smile and find something to do somewhere out of earshot for the next hour.

If you didn't understand her at first the only direction the rest of the conversation can go is going make you an unhappy man.
