I have this jug that I have played with but I dont know what it is for.
It is 44mm bore and 32mm stroke. so it will be about 49cc saw.

what do you think?

cylinder

I have one also. It saids Mahle on it as well but i know it came off a Pioneer Farmsaw, because i took it off. I will check the #'s on it and see if they are anywhere near yours.

It's a Jonsereds Cylinder. Fits 49sp, 50, 51, or 52 and 52E

They all used the same bore and stroke.

Your bore, stroke, and displacement are right on. They're 49cc saws.

The dead giveaway for me is that manifold. I don't know of any other saw that has one like it. 7 bolts to hold it to the cylinder.

WOW, finally found someone that has a messier work bench....

I learned something. Never had that series of saw apart. Thanks for the pics.

my workbench is rediculous.
to tell you the truth it is better now:jester:
Scott you goofball I got that cylinder from you and you said you weren't sure what it fit at the time.
I have to give you credit you have a mountain of saws and anyone can say do you have a left ventricle for a 1983 smith 987, you will know off the top of your head what parts will crossover and if you have one that is good.
It is amazing to see.

My dad has an old 49sp, that I actually gave to him, I wish I had know before I carved the base. It is still usable though because it is only cut about .020, did they have a domed piston?
