Since I don't have to maintain one, I prefer a 85hp diesle slowfeed drum with 12 inch capacity.

Screw the fire wood, I dont burn and cant give it away around here.

With the right whipper chipper you can chip pretty big firewood. I have used an old asplundh chipper that had 16 inch blades and was powered by a Ford big block v8! If 2 guys could drag a piece to it, it would eat it! We use 12 inch drum chippers every day at work.
