hamburgers and cheeseburgers and little debbie -- the basis of all life on earth. (that's a fine with me by the way)

What can we bring???

Brian,

It there's interest, I may bring my Silvey Razor Sharp II for those wanting to try square ground.

I'll also bring the SP125c and Mambo Jambo. You have me covered on 440s and 660s so I may leave them at home.

LOL! I should have everything here so ya'll can just load up the saws. If I can think of something, I shall post. Southern hospitality at it's finest!

Sounds good! I have 2 loops of 32" square that I have not used yet, due to no way of sharping.  Saw and grinder money has went towards guns, LOL.

Yes, the 125 and Jambo would be nice to see. I will have a dp-ed 440 and 660 here, both are stock though. Everyone should like my ported 460, it's sweet!

My 660 took a trip to Michigan to see Dr. N. Maybe I'll bring him along.

Load her up!

I'm working on gettting a small JD loader to help move the wood. Looks like we will have a butt load of saws here. I would encourage any locals that are in the market for a saw to stop by and run one, much better than reading Troll's terrible weight stories.:( I know most will be Stihls but will be some Dolmars/huskies also, all are welcome.

Confession time

Wanab,

Now I told you my 361 was used, but new to me. And I said I wasn't going to run it or practice for the Mambo Jambo showdown with your RedLax. Well, I must confess.

Saturday, I worked on a mission for our church that involved lots of heavy duty yard clean up. First, I used the FS 80 with the PolyCut™ head. It really cleared out the weeds in a large natural area. Since I stated soaking the PolyCut™ blades, they wear like iron. The weeds get weak in the knees when they see it coming after them.

Next, I brought out the BR600 to put the leaves in their place. Yep, I'd call this model the "LeafHearder" if they asked me. It did a great job. Stihl's hit 1.000 at this point on a 2 for 2 performance.

Now, last Wednesday when Todd showed me the site where the work to be done, he showed a lot of trees that had been cut, but not totally removed. We had many stumps from 3" to 15" sticking out anywhere from 2" to 3' that need cutting as close as possible. A lot of logs needed cutting to firewood length and moved back into the woods. Well, when I surveyed this task, I said "Mambo Jambo" and Todd gave me the funniest look. He said, "What's that Jack?", and I replied, "Mambo Jambo!". At that point, Todd decided to nod and say "Yep" in order to not offend me. Now, I remembered what I told Wanab, but I needed my smallest saw. My 440 and 660 wear 3/4 wrap, and I needed the nimble 361 to suit up for the task.

Now, on Saturday just before lunch, I walked to the 4Runner to get "Mambo Jambo". I was pulling off the fresh LGX and putting on the old "safety" chain I was willing to sacrifice because the wood was ultra dirty. As I was doing this, a documentary crew came up and inquired as to what we were doing. I spoke of our mission and the crew went about interviewing some of the other two dozen or so folks on the mission. Well, I took "Mambo Jambo" with the ole yeller chain over to start cutting and let me tell ya, it ripped. I was shocked. I shut it down and looked to make sure it wasn't the fresh LGX. Actually, I looked again about an hour later because it really showed out. Several people just walked over and stared at "Mambo Jambo". The documentary crew came back and filmed for another 10 minutes as "Mambo Jambo" willingly took center stage. Several of my fellow workers commented about my "big" saw. I didn't have the heart to tell them that it's my smallest saw. And, I didn't mention power-to-weight ratio either.

Well, as the day wore on, "Mambo Jambo's" ole yeller started to falter, and after my third attempt to put some life back in it didn't work out too well, I said, "OK, Mambo Jambo, 'tis time to rock and roll". Yep, back to the 4Runner to get shod with the fresh LGX. I believe the saw weighed even less than ST claims as it seemed light as a feather as we headed over to the woods for the last ten minutes of cutting. Ole "Mambo Jambo" delighted several onlookers as they said things like, "Howsit do that?" and "What kinda saw is that", or even "I didn't know that made saws like that". Yes folks, this was "Mambo Jambo's" finest hour.

Now, on Sunday morning, they showed some of the mission efforts that took place on Saturday. And there at the beginning of the film documentary was "Mambo Jambo".

Now Wanab, in the interest of full disclosure, I cut no cookies, but I did bond with "Mambo Jambo".

Kool job Joat! Sounds like ya'll had fun and helped the Church out quite a bit.

If you think Mr. Jambo is a light screamer, wait til you try my semi stock 026.:dizzy: :dizzy:

Time is coming to a close for RedLax.......

That was beautiful Joat...

I haven't cut with The Boss™ or the 361 lately either, but I did bring it inside last night... warned momma that if Kyle Busch won the race I was gonna saw up the TV. There may have been some drinking involved?

Thank goodness we didn't have to make good on the threat. The grandbaby woke up with a few laps to go anyhow.

Wanab... If momma's PS401 or The Boss™ can't tote a whuppin to that RedThing, I have no doubt Mambo Jambo will feed it some cookies.

in life there must be winners and losers.

in life sometimes you have to do a dirty job that you would rather not have to do. unforyunely that seems the life calling of me and the redman.
