Looking for a bearing number for the mains on a TS-350 chopsaw. To keep this on-topic, I will state that the saw shares the motor with an 08S. I haven't priced it yet, but I'm sure Stihl wants $30-40 each. Not for me.

Thanks, Chris B.

Just say chain saw, to avoid being off topic. It doesn't matter as long as you say chain saw somewhere in your post.

Don't go to Stihl! They will hose you for the bearings. Take the bearing out and go to a bearing house. They will match it up to a bearing that's just as good but cost 6-8 bucks. Good luck and let us know what happens. John

Once again, Jeff Sikkema has come through. Not only did I get the bearing part number (6202, both sides) but he is also getting me an aftermarket crank and a gasket set. I'll have a nearly new saw for cheap.

Thanks, Chris B.

BTW, Chainsaw!!

How'd I do lucky?

Nice. I've got a couple o piles in the works that look similar to your pic. Sounds like you'll have a great saw without having to sell a kidney or take out a 2nd mortgage on your house or anything like that. Take it easy. John

In case anybody is interested, I finished the chopsaw. Installed new crank, piston, bearings, seals, gaskets, rebuilt carb, good SEM ignition off another parts saw. Roughly $220 total and I have a nearly perfect concrete saw.

Tomorrow will be its maiden voyage. Get to demolish a conrete fire escape. Hopefully it won't do as the TS-50 does and shake itself apart.

Chainsaw!!

I was thinking that was a newer one until I saw the pic of it completely assembled. I have a Homelite DM50 for that sort of cutting, its in a box right now disassembled due to worn out piston rings on it. If I'm lucky I wont have any left over parts or any missing parts when I put it back together.
