Need help - Clutch brake assembly

I got a vermeer 252. The clutch/brake assembly let go. Vermeer quoted a price of $618.00 to replace it. The manufacturer, Ogura, apparently doesn't sell direct. Anyone got any suggestions. Vermeers price is over double what I expected.

One of the guys on here has a friend that can rebuild them. Do a search for 'ogura clutch' and see if it shows up. I believe it was a year or two ago. The post was by plyscamp.

Thanks brother, I'll try and look for it. I actually got the clutch working but I don't think it will last. There was aparently some debris between the armiture and plate and I flushied it out and it eventually freed up. But the springs that seperate the plate from the armiture aren't strong enough to keep them apart so I had to back off on the adjustments so it will not stay engaged which doesn't allow the brake portion to work. Thanks
