I am looking at buying 1 of 2 units..

#1 works fine, decently priced. (If theres a problem with theengine or bearings etc, after i buy it, uh oh!)

#2 Worked great, guy upgraded to a 12", very cheap!
the 620 sat uncovered and now has a seized 20hp engine.

Does anyone have any expereince with the 620. or any info at all to help me? Thanski!

I would recommend buying the machine that is currently running. At least you can run the machine and make sure everything works. If you buy the machine with the seized engine you don't know if the hydraulic system or cutter disc bearings have any issues. It is possible that since the machine has been sitting outside uncovered that there could be water in the hydraulic reservoir or the fuel tank or both.

For a few hundred bucks I would buy it. You could probably turn a profit parting it out. I don't think there are a lot of used or aftermarket parts for Vermeer chippers. You could probably make a killing on ebay.
