Hi all, maybe you can help me.
I have a Mcculloch chainsaw Pro Mac 555 that has excellent spark & compression. It won't start but will only spit back thru the carburetor on the second pull. What do you think it is that is causing it. It has excellent compression and the flywheel key is perfect and coil is set .010 from flywheel, spark plug is new all wiring is perfect no abrasions or shorts/high resistence etc. fuel filter and line are new. Thanks in advance.

A Mac 555 is just a 57 cc Mac 10-10 called another number.Air gap,10 to 12 thou,points 19-20 thou.Plug gap 25 thou.

If it has spark, the problem has to be in fuel delivery.Squirt a little mix in the carb and give it a tug.If it starts, then dies,it could be several things, cracked fuel line, gummy carb, stiff diaphragm. It should have a Walbro SDC carb, the rebuilt kit is cheap.
