Sorry to post on this board but desperation makes me do it, yesterday I drove 8 hours round trip to Ft Wayne IN to watch a 1600 hour POS Carlton 4400d sell for $10,000 plus $1,000 auction commission plus I waisted another day
I need to buy a used Carlton stump grinder tomorrow Monday April 29th
I need either a 7500 or 7015 If I can't find one here, I am leaving at noon to
buy one on the east coast. Much as I hate the 1000 mile one way drive (old man)
the phone calls are driving me nuts I have at least 80 customers I have been
tap dancing with, While waiting for my deutz to be repaired. I must start TCB this week
So if I make the 2000 mile round trip and a day to recover maybe I can get on the firing line
this Friday unless some one has or knows of one. Never though I would be praying for more rain LOL
I do apologise for posting here.

Thanks Kenny 812-208-7586 Speedy Stump Service W. Terre Haute, IN

Rent One?

Howdy

No place around here has a big machine to rent. I am also trying not to get in this kind of bind again if my machine wont answer the bell for what ever reason. Plus I figured out how to quickly transfer my wireless remote from one machine to another. Having a broken grinder withn the busy season starting is a very sad event
Thanks for the reply.

Kenny

why dont you just rent one?

Checked Global out

Howdy

Oh I saw that nice rig several places over the past couple of weeks. But, $40,000 cough! cough! is over twice my budget. Lady in Tallahasse knocked off $1,900. off her gently used 7500 so that should more that pay for a wireless remotre. She also see pictures She said he dad ran it with out any remote at all. Around here last summer you would be dead from all the dust kicked up. I was a liittle disappoined with Global as they never returned my phone call regarding other used rigs. I always thought they were hard chargers as I see there posts ever where Also their ads in the magazine.
Perhaps they are covered up, I hope so. I can make it to Tallassee in 12 hrs, we shall see what tomorrow brings
Thanks for the reply 2 tree be safe my friend.

I dont think i have ever seen a used 7015 for under $29,000. I thought about buying that 7015 machine they have. It still has all the warrenty, plus is like 10k less then new.

I bought a 2005 carlton sp8018 trx off of global equipment in febuary, and they gave me great service. I talk to randy quite regularly. Great bunch of guys.

True, its def good to have a back up. I was thinking more in terms of getting people off your back. I know there is a big machine to rent much closer than driving 1000 miles.

+1 on the global guys I bought a 4100 D from those guys I was kinda leary on buying sight unseen other than videos and pics. When the machine showed up it was in excellent condition. I'm very happy with these guys. I'm hoping to buy a chipper from these guys too.
