Found a Stihl MS290 Farm Boss at the landfill. bought countyline bar and chain $58 3/8" 20", installed. Saw would idle fine before installing b/c. I never revved it without b/c. Now won't stay idling. Likes to start with choke which is combined with full throttle on this set up. Take off full throttle after 2 seconds and dies and won't throttle back up. I suppose I'll do new fuel lines and filter, then if still issues carb clean/rebuild/replace. Or is it an air leak?

Snagged all this for £120 / $155. The grinder is a 522A (European voltage 511A) with spare wheels. There are hundreds of presets, a half reel of 59AC .404 chain, 150 feet of 22LP chain, a part reel of 21LPX, a part reel of 23RM3 and a breaker & spinner set.

Yep- you suck.

Crossed a saw off my bucket list! Traded my Mac 610 for this homelite super xl BIG RED! I need a proper plastic black af cover for it tho. The current one is for sale or trade, old blue metal one painted black. Let me know if you have a plastic one available.

I posted this in the pioneer thread, but here's my "you suck" that I've been hiding for a few months:

$185(probably overpaid), had to source a recoil, need to pull the broken exhaust studs, and I'm going try the "Husqvarna 365" coil mod that I found on here scrolling through the forum. I also have a pioneer bar(that's been sitting for a few years, it came with another saw) that I think will fit but I have no idea what size it is. All I know is it's big(to me) and I need to get a picture of said bar eventually when i finally drag it inside to actually finish putting it together..

And yes, it's rough. But I think it'll be worth it.
