JUst wondering what you folks think is fair price for a 1997 brush bandit 90xp in decent shape with APX 1500 hrs. The engine is a "gm model with 80hp." I was thinking it should be around 7000$ US or am I mistaken. The seller suggested it would be over 11000 [but sold through a dealer].
Thanks for your input

A 10 year old 90xp with 1500 hours? About $8,000.00 in good condition. What dumbass dealers don't seem to realize is part of the value of a new machine is the depreciation you get tax wise. Once amachine is 10 years old there is not much left.

not much left

Not sure what you mean by depreciation tax wise? Is depreciation a write off? If there is not much life left, what would you exect to go wrong? Or rather what would you expect the operating costs to be.

THanks again

Yes , not much left as far as a tax write off goes. The chipper may have a lot left as far as how much use you will get out of it. And yes, depreciation is a major tax deduction.
