Hello
I am looking for a wood chipper which has a capacity of min 60ton/hour and which could give me the chip size of 0-60mm.
I heard that peterson, bandit and beast are the good makes. Peterson 2750c suits me good but its an electric engine. I am looking for a mechanical engine because electricity is a big problem in India. I would like go with a drum style one. And one more thing is, I want it to be a wheel mounted one. This gives me easy mobility.
Can some one please suggest me what model suits me best from the above mentioned three brands. I am looking for economy one. Its always best to a effective one in a cheaper price. Your suggestions will help me a lot and are highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello,

Are you looking for a chipper or a horizontal grinder? The Bandit Beast is a horizontal grinder and I'm not aware that Peterson makes a wood chipper. If it's a chipper that you want you'll need a high horsepower chipper and it would be a whole tree chipper. Both Morbark and Bandit make whole tree chippers. Whole tree chippers are pretty expensive and you'll need about a 500hp engine. You'll also need to consider if you want one with a loader as well. I might be able to find either a Bandit or Morbark for you but I would need to know what your budget is. I have 12 years experience exporting equipment and parts.

Hope this helps.

Hello

Thanks for your response. Well, I am looking for horizontal chipper and not a grinder. I am really not sure if peterson makes it. I heard it from one og my mate about peterson. The chipper I am looking for should be a whole tree chipper. I understand that the chippers would be expensive but I haven't got a option other than going for one. I just need to make sure that I get a machine with best performance at the lowest price possible. Can you please send me the quotations for the bandit, beast and morbark on to my email. Its [email protected]

Thanks

Hello Dave

The max log size which we use could be no more than 150mm in diameter.

Thanks

Sorry for the late response. thanks for your replies. I am not looking for a used machine and I am sorry to CALLTRE EQUIP for this.

I got a quotation from bandit, peterson and CIB.
Bandit quoted USD 147830 for 1850 disc style and USD 443073 for 3680XP (diesel engine)
Peterson quoted USD 534,598 for 4300B and CIB quoted USD 816,100.00-CFRM Mumbai for the mobile chipper CHIPMAX 484T.

I am wondering why CIB price is so high when compared to the higher spec machine like 4300B or 3680XP. Can you guys please look into pricing and tell me the best price which I can get. This is a huge project and we are looking to purchase 7-13 machines of 100-150ton/hr capacity in next 18 months ( all brand new)

Thanks
Rakesh

You want us to do the research for you?? Pretty sure that is your job.
At first you wanted a 60 ton per hour machine, now you want 100 to 150 ton machine. Which is it.
You want to save money but you insist on buying new?? You also say you want the best quality but at the lost price.
There are a lot of contradictions here.
As for price difference, a Honda is cheaper then a Mercedes. But you'r not going to get Mercedes quality at Hondas price.
But what you can do is buy a good used Mercedes for the price of the new Honda.

You got me wrong. I didn't asked you to do a research for me. Since you are in the field for many years I thought that you will be aware of the best price.
60 ton/hour is my first stage requirement. Later I will be needing a 150 ton/hour machine .
I don't mind buying a new Mercedes. I am just looking for the best model in Mercedes which comes in my budget and looking for suggestions from experts.

Am I reading this correctly? You need to buy from 7 to 13, new 100 to 150 ton per hour, whole tree chippers in then next 18 months.
You won't get any answers here. Go direct to the corporate headquarters of Bandit, Morbark, Vermeer and Peterson.
Since your working in India you probably want to go with a company that has representation in your country.
If you like I can put you in direct contact with three of these companies but there is no reason you can't just contact them yourself.
