I just found out today that I am gonna be a Daddy for the first time. Teri went into the doc today at noon and I boogied down out of a big maple at about 13:00 to hear the good news. Kinda had a lot on my mind so I just did one other med sized honey locust and then boogied back home to be with her. On the way home I was kinda going over names in my head, I kinda want to go with something tree related. If its a girl, thinking Aspen, Willow, or Laurel. Still kinda perplexed about boys names though. Ash is a boys name isnt it? Oh well I guess he have another 8 1/2 months to work it out. Send me some suggestions if ya'll have some. Oh and by the way, how young is to young to start your kid off climbing? (just kidding on that one, well sort of any way):Monkey:

Congrats on new addition, kids will change your whole outlook on everything you do. And catch up on all the sleep you can now cause there ain't much after the baby!;)

Thanks ya'll. Teri is lookin at the baby names book she picked up today and I broke out my tree identification guide. Linden is a cool boys name isnt it???:blob2:

Ashton? I know it's not exact, but it is a partial, and it has to be working for that kid in Cali, because he has Demi on his arm.

Yeah yeah yeah, actually I got a piece of saw dust under one of my contacts and scratched the cornia of my eye, I have literly been blind since Saturday. I am just now gettin the foggy, cloudy, hazieness out of my eye. Kinda spooky being 50ft up and haveing no depth perception. Oh and Teri said Ashton is a definate No-Go. Thanks for the idea though.

Congrats to you and the lady! I wish you both well. We got our only daughters name from the movie The Last Boy Scout, with Bruce Willis. His daughters name in the movie was Darian. (dare-e-en) Thats what we picked.

Can you tell it is the slow season for tree guys? lol Congrats to you too rborist!

Thanks guys, I dont know what the smallest size saddle is, but I did see some lady walking down the street today with her kid in a harnes around her shoulders, like in a back pack type of thing, only it was on the front of her. And if you saw the Austin Powers Goldfinger movie you know what Im talking about. I was just wondering. Do you think the the neighbors would call Social Services on me if myself and Mini-Me were climbing around in a small ash tree when he is only about 3 months old?

As long as they are safe, it doesnt matter. They would probably call them on you, but it would be outa ignorance.

I think that would be so cool, give them something to look back on years from now.

You might consider tying a swiss seat (and chest harness) and attaching it to you, and then put him in the baby carrier. That way if something happened (loaded diaper, whatever) you could quickly lower him to the ground, and you would have added piece of mind.

Cool, never can be too safe tho.
