Something smells FISHY around here. Maybe the OP with 5 posts could elaborate? Luci Friday....l don't think you would be too lucky if you fell into this one.

Her 5 posts are in the three ads to sell this saw. I got a message that her husband took off the missing stickers because he was going to keep the saw. Never have seen anyone deface a brand new saw before.

Buyer beware on this one, I would suggest meeting in person in the parking lot of the local police station.

Buyer beware on this one, I would suggest meeting in person in a very public place.

This seems to be Déjà vu all over again....

If this is brand new where is the Echo sticker on the recoil and the yellow safety sticker that is normally above that? Doesn't pass the sniff test for me.
Hi Guys, My name is Chet Friday and I asked my wife to sell this saw for me. I run Huskies (Brad has built a couple for me) and this saw was purchased new with all the equipment described and stored in a sealed 55 gallon drum for later use in an emergency situation while we lived in CA. The reason I went with an ECHO is because that's what most of my neighbors used at the time. We have since moved to ID and I no longer feel the need to keep this saw as part of my survival stash. After purchasing the saw, I had the muffler gutted, had a mechanic tune the saw for 3,000' and yes, I took the stickers off before storing it. It is a hell of a deal.

Were you going to use the saw to fight off zombies from your bunker during the Apocalypse?

This makes no sense to me- You run Husq's (not Huskies) but you bought a Echo based upon the fact that is what your neighbors were using. I run Husq, Jonsereds, Stihls, and Dolmars. I dont own a single one of them bc that's what my neighbors or friends run. I hand selected my models based upon extensive research here on AS.

And defacing (taking off stickers) of a brand new saw makes absoolutely no sense either. No justifiable explanation.

BUYER BEWARE. Observe the join date and the post count. Individuals that list items for sale should be active in the chainsaw threads (not just active in the classifeds).

HaHa, the point is that the saw was run for maybe 20 minuets to tune it in wood, then run dry, cleaned, and prepped for storage. I just can't justify keeping it as I have a 346, two 359's and a 390 all completely modded. Now that I think about it, when we lived in CA we were surrounded by Zombies, but I used my saws to cut 20" to 40" diameter Ponderosa's instead. The property we purchased here in ID had a fire about 25 years ago run through it and the biggest tree around is maybe 1' in diameter.

If you were to advertise the modded 390, that apparently you can't use on <1' wood, these guys would be pissing their pants to try and get you hundreds of dollars for it.

OK, you got me, I was one of those guys who lived here for about a year but never posted. In fact, yesterday I posted a comment for the first time at a web site on the Cummins Forum and it was fun! I started a thread and it got several replies.... While I hung out here awhile back and I absorbed as much as I could while making myself a pest at the Baileys store in Woodland CA. I eventually settled on Huskies because I liked their handling characteristics and power to weight ratios - especially modded. When I lived in CA., my neighbors and I lived in the woods adjacent to National Forest and we were very contentious about helping each other out with regards to spar parts etc. One guy would purchase a tractor and let the rest of us use it. I invested in a 5,000 gallon water tank and fire fighting system that everyone had access to, etc., etc. That is just the way it is when you live in a remote area.

No, I don't use the 390 on <1' wood because it wears me out at the end of the day - that's what's why god 359's!
