Hello to All,

I'm new here and ramping up to start a small firewood business in Upstate NY.

I have a line a good used Timberwolf TW-2HD with all the bells and whistles.
I did a few searches and did not come up with much.

Anyone out there with experience with this particular model, good or bad?

welcome.

you can do a search of the web site for timberwolf....there's been alot of discussion about them and seems every one who has one likes them.

Thanks,

I did that but not much specific to the TW-2HD. Which is what i am looking for. I am familiar with the Timberwolf products just not this particular one.

Thanks Again,

Walt,

Have you dealt with SH?

I used to work with some of those guy years ago. Didn't realize the were a dealer.

I'm about a 1.5 hours away. May have to take a ride.

never dealt with them. i just wanted to see what that splitter looked like.

spencerport is just west of rochester.

there's a guy going out of the wood splitting business near you.

he's got several old American heavy duty splitter at great prices.
easily equal to TW-5

I'd buy one, but $1,200+ shipping to me kills the deal.

Roy has a great machine.

i have a 5.5 hp model.love it.i would buy an american before a timberwolf.timberwolf is a nice machine but overpriced i think.the American CLS AM-25S sounds like what you need.

Timerwolf TW-5

My brother and I have a small firewood business as well and we bought a tw-5 new. I know they're pricy but I think it is worth it. We can split a cord an hour. Love the autocycle option, to me it is worth paying more. It is nice when you don't have to hold the lever to make it spit and when it is done it goes back by itself. Also the hydraulit 4 way is nice. Would recommend to get the table for it, then you don't have to bend over to get the pieces.

As of today I am the proud new owner of a new TW-5. Hydraulic log lift, hydraulic wedge lift, auto cycle, and table grate on the way. Split up about 2.5 cord tonight, very nice splitter.

I was very interested in an American splitter went to 2 different dealers in my area. One 10 days ago, one 5 days ago looking for price and availability. have not heard back from either dealer. Called American direct and was told more than a month out.

Timberwolf dealer had the TW-5 on the ground so it was a done deal. I will try to get some pictures up soon.
