New model Jonsered 2156C

Do any of you have specs yet on the new Jonsered 2156C? All I have is that it showed up on the latest price sheet. Wonder if it a 357? Wonder if it is on the 2152 chassis or the 2159 chassis, or either?

Tony, Jonsered's website shows it as 56.5cc and 4.4hp power to weight ratio as .56 . Other than that it doesn't give much info.

Most spec's are exactly same as 357xp, except vibe figs; Jonsered claims less vibes, but may be typo.

Quick look on Tilton's site doesn't show it, but Google also said Jonsered site was updated Jan 2, so could be very new.

If that 2156 has a full circle crank too it may be a winner.

The 2156 does have the "full circle" crank as well, yes.

Does this saw only have one piston ring? The exploded view only shows one.

I will be able to answer these questions in a couple of days when I get my first one...they were in Quebec this morning, and I am having one drop shipped...should be here by the weekend....

The IPL does appear that it only has one ring...not much of a concern in my opinion, but I will let you know.

2156 has the same cylinder and piston as the 357 part no. is the same on both saws. It is built on the 359/2159 frame.

Just checked the Jonsered website:
The saw also has a special low temperature catalytic converter and heating for the handles and carburettor. Is
this the way of the future?

Is there any real diff between the 357 and 359 frame (any reason to believe that the 2156 is inferior to the 357)?

Hello eyolf been busy don't get around as much as I use to. To answer you question the crank shaft is the same on both the Husky and the Jonsy. They are the same saw except for the wrappers and the color. (The top cover and the starter housings are different.)
